SUPER BOWL RECAP
As the rest of the country dreams about the day Brady retires, Pats fans continue to rejoice. Since there’s really nothing I can add to everything that’s already been said, I won’t. But mannnnnn, I sure do miss football already and it’s only been a few days…
The big winner this year is WALLLYMAC, and the way he won so much money is kinda surprising… After coming in third in the Regular Season ($1,125), he did just enough during the playoffs (21 points / 35th place) to come in fourth Overall ($1,575). But it was all the little wins that pushed him over the top to the most money earned in 2018. He won Week 13 ($450), the Bonus Elimination Pool ($500), 1pm ($250), and Top Veteran ($250 plus a free entry into next season, which is annoying since he’s clearly the last person that needs a reason to sign up again…) for a grand total of $4,325! DAMN!
BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE!
We had 10(!!) members win over $1,000 including JSECHERS85 ($3,800), BRADELL ($2,925), and X-MEN16 ($2,425). All total, 42 people won money this year. Please see the accompanying Excel chart showing the full breakdown.
So WALLLYMAC may have won the most cash, but our true champion is THEKINGNBEEJ. Dude finished tied for fifth in the Regular Season ($337.50), and then tied for fifth in the Playoffs ($112.50) which then catapulted him into first Overall ($2,925). He won an additional $400, since no one had a perfect week this year, for a grand total of $3,775 and the third best Overall finish since 2009. Same guy won the Regular Season last year. Crazy…

Now this I gotta talk about since the only rule to this prize is making picks for all 267 games (256 + 11). So JVEE finished in spot 152, ahead of 29 other people, but for various reasons those members were automatically eliminated. The most common was missing picks during the regular season, but there’s a few peeps I need to spotlight…
These six missed only one Regular Season pick: HE MAN WOMAN HATERS, 1PAPA1, MANUFACTURED OUTRAGE, PRICCIARELLI, HOGGZILLA, and BWHID. Somehow make that one pick you missed, you play for free next year. Instead JVEE slides in, and I’m sure this is a total surprise to him. Two guys (SPAZMAN and KEVINZAGRODNY) made picks all year and then ignored the Playoff Pool. But the one that really gets me is SEEMOREBUCKS – dude make all 256 Regular Season picks, all 4 Wildcard picks, all 4 Divisional picks, and both Championship picks, BUT for whatever reason didn’t make a pick for the Super Bowl. That is insane to me! Hope he’s okay!
